Birth, Growth
& Enrichment

In western India, Fellowship School holds the distinct honour of being the first co-educational school, established in 1927. At a time when even progressive reformers were hesitant to accept this concept, Fellowship forged a new path.

The school was inaugurated by Late Shri Shrinivas Shastri, with Shri Ratansi D. Morarji appointed as its first President. From a bungalow in Chowpatty, the institution grew into a landmark educational complex in Mumbai.

"A child is a gift of God — the school's endeavour is always to tap the talents of the child, to bring those talents out, and to train them under the careful guidance of experts."

Today, under the leadership of Managing Trustee Shri Mahendrabhai Inamdar, Fellowship School continues to set the benchmark for quality education, moral values, and holistic development in Mumbai.

of Milestones

1927
Foundation
Established as Western India's first co-educational school. First Principal: Shri Maganbhai T. Vyas. First President: Shri Ratansi D. Morarji.
1952
Silver Jubilee (25th Founder's Day)
Grand cultural programmes raised Rs. 34,000 for the building fund, marking a major financial milestone for the school.
1958
Land Acquisition
On Durgashtami, the school rightfully acquired its own land. Foundation stone laid by Education Minister Shri Hitendra Desai on 29 April 1959.
1960
Lalit Kala Bhavan
New school building completed with ground floor and three upper storeys. Named Lalit Kala Bhavan to honour the school's commitment to Fine Arts training.
1977
Golden Jubilee
Celebrated the 50th Founder's Day with great pomp. A landmark moment of pride and reflection for the entire Fellowship family.
1981
Shakti Sadan
A new annexe building constructed beginning 1973 was completed in 1975 and formally named "Shakti Sadan" — adding vital space for the growing institution.
2002
Diamond Jubilee
Celebrated the Diamond Jubilee as the school's Building Fund Drive gained momentum and 'Maitri Sadan', a six-storey building was constructed.
2025
98th Anniversary
Celebrating 98 years of excellence with "Taal Se Taal Mila" — a grand cultural showcase at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chowpatty, on 19th December 2025.
